Onboarding — the invite flow

This is the canonical way a school or club gets onto Matcha, tying the coach and player tracks together. Share this page (or its steps) when onboarding a new club.

  1. Matcha provisions the club and assigns an owner.
  2. The owner invites coaches by email → they join as coaches.
  3. Coaches invite players by email or invite code → they join as players.
  4. Players record sessions in the app.
  5. Coaches review the deliveries in the portal.

A club can’t be self-created yet. The Matcha team creates the organisation (school / academy / indoor centre / cricket club) and makes a named person the owner. The owner sets a password on first sign-in to the portal. → Create or claim your school/club

In the portal, the owner invites coaches by email with the Coach role (one at a time or via bulk invite). New coaches are added automatically when they sign up with that email. → Invite coaches

Coaches invite players by email (Player role) or simply share the club’s invite code. The code is the quickest way to onboard a group — it always adds people as players. → Invite & roster players

Players download the app, sign up (email → 6-digit code → password), then join the club with the invite code or by accepting their email invite. → Install & sign up · Join your club

Players record sessions (calibrate on the stumps → automatic delivery detection → clips upload). Coaches then assign and review those deliveries in the portal. → Record a session
