What is Matcha?
Matcha is a cricket coaching platform with on-device AI video analysis. Players record batting sessions on their phone; the app detects each delivery in real time, slices the video into clips, and uploads them. Coaches then review the analysis for their players.

The two surfaces
Section titled “The two surfaces”Matcha has two separate places you log in, depending on who you are:
| Surface | Who uses it | What you do there |
|---|---|---|
| The Portal (web) | Coaches & club admins | Manage the club: invite members, build rosters, review and assign analysis, handle billing |
| The App (mobile) | Players | Join your club, record sessions, view your analysis and feed |
How a session flows through Matcha
Section titled “How a session flows through Matcha”- A player records a batting session in the app. The camera is first calibrated on the stumps, then the app detects each delivery automatically.
- Each detected delivery becomes a clip, which is uploaded for analysis.
- Coaches (and any analysts the club assigns) review those deliveries in the portal and give feedback.
- The player sees the resulting analysis back in the app.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Most people join Matcha through an invite from their club. If you haven’t been invited yet, see Roles & clubs to understand how clubs, coaches, and players fit together — and read the onboarding flow for the full picture.
